Christmas War Journal : Day 2

I've already decided to return to not-blogging. Contact me to ask how I'm doing.

If I had a blog like Casey's...
... I'd have the MSN conversation explaining this.
Seriously New York Times?

Was THIS necessary?

Did you have to take a week out of your esoteric existence to watch a few episodes of a reality show so you can write an epistle on how they aren't as good as drama? Did you think we didn't know that?

Maybe it's sitting through a few too many press screenings with dusty, near-mummified Vancouver film reviewers complaining about the free coffee, but I've started to feel like 80% of the high-ranked people reviewing the arts are woefully behind and clamouring not to catch up, but for everyone else to be dragged backward to their position.

It's far too late to stop people from watching reality t.v. because...*gasp*...they enjoy it. Shouldn't it be the reviewers job then to understand why it's enjoyed and how the genre can artistically progress rather than rail against it for decades?

Also, seriously, you are praising Desperate Housewives in this article? Do you just want to seem like an idiot on both sides of this argument?

I'm sorry there are no new episodes of M*A*S*H New York Times. I liked Klinger too.

He's not coming back

HELLO WEENIES!!!

Thats what our, in retrospect probable sex-offender neighbor, said to all the kids who came to his door on Halloween.

I like Halloween a lot. I guess it's the combo of movies I like all over, dressing up, candy and drunkenness but seriously, it gets better and better each year. Yes, it's usually a built-up letdown like New Years Eve but by this point I'm an adult and am over that.

I was pretty dismayed at the amount of people who were too cool for Halloween. So many didn't dress up or went to non-Halloweeny things. I don't know.

Anyway, if you are like me and need one last piece of celebration I'd suggest checking out Robert Berry's great 100 scariest movie moments list
It's great because it covers just about everything I'd mention, some things I'd forget to mention and isn't afraid to reach beyond horror films to find scary moments.

Anyway, yes, that's all I have to offer other than START THINKING OF COSTUMES TODAY!!!
I had mine a few months in advance and it was so good I loaned it out to someone else to you tonight. BAM! Good costumes = good times.
